Doctoral Summer School in Narva-Jõesuu Highlighted Young Researchers’ Work and Collaboration

Last week, the traditional Doctoral Summer School took place in Narva-Jõesuu, bringing together doctoral students in economics, supervisors and field experts for two days.

During the summer school, doctoral students presented their research in the form of article and poster presentations. In total, 7 article presentations and 8 poster presentations were delivered. Participants also had the opportunity to listen to three keynote speakers: Niina Nummela, Jan Fidrmuc and Laur Kanger. The programme also included a visit to the University of Tartu Narva College.

Outstanding research contributions were also recognised during the summer school. The award for the best poster was presented to Nilay Rammul and Faisal Mohammed from Estonian Business School. The Vello Vensel Award for the best research article, presented by the Estonian Economic Association, was shared by Murad Ismayilzada from the University of Tartu and Faisal Mohammed from Estonian Business School.

The Doctoral Summer School offered participants an opportunity to share their research, receive feedback, build professional contacts and discuss current research directions in economics in a supportive and inspiring atmosphere.
