The 3rd Annual Conference of the Baltic Economic Association
The 3rd Baltic Economic Conference will take place on June 7–8, 2021 at the Delta Centre of the University of Tartu. Conference will be hosted by the University of Tartu School of Economics and Business Administration.
The Baltic Economic Association has been founded in June 2018 in Vilnius. It aims at fostering the development and application of economics as a science in the Baltic States as well as promoting and reinforcing cooperation among economists from the region. Organizing an annual conference will rotate every year within the three countries.
Keynote speaker of this year’s conference is Roberto Rigobon (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT Sloan School of Management). The conference will cover a broad range of topics in theoretical and empirical economics, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial economics, labor economics, international trade, innovation economics, political economy, and econometrics. Special sessions on “big data” and associated methods (machine learning, social network analysis etc) in economics are planned.
The organizers welcome the whole community of economists from the Baltic States: faculty members, postgraduate students, independent experts and government officials.
