Singapore and Taiwan, their developments and influence in the region and in Europe, taking into account interests of China, is something we should know more about.
Two visiting lecturers from Taiwan and Singapore are visiting Tartu, whose work is focusing on these questions.
13th of May at 14.00 Joseph Lau is giving an open lecture titled “Singapore – Tiny Harbour to Modern Economy”. The lecture takes place at Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies (room 214).
27th of May Kuo-chun Yeh from National Taiwan University is presenting one’s findings on Chinese impact on region’s economy, international relations between European Union and East Asia, recent and possible developments between them after Brexit.
Lectures are open for participants and organized with close cooperation between J. Skytte Institute of Political Studies, School of Economics and Business Administration and Asian Centre.
