"Taibutalgud" - hackathons

"Taibutalgud" provide interdisciplinary teams with an intensive collaboration platform where students and representatives from the public and private sectors work together over two days to develop innovative digital solutions to public sector challenges. These solutions help improve service quality and promote public sector innovation.

"Taibutalgud" ...

(hackathon) is an event where participating teams validate and develop public sector services or products. The event focuses on finding innovative solutions developed in collaboration with students, vocational school learners, and public sector representatives.

The Goal...

...is to find practical and innovative solutions to public sector issues by involving university and vocational school students. The primary focus of "Taibutalgud" is on developing new digital solutions that support the improvement and innovation of public sector services.

Who is the hackathon for?

The hackathon is open to all students in IT, technology, and other fields, as well as vocational school learners, entrepreneurs and public sector representatives who are ready to contribute to creating practical solutions and sharing ideas.

- Prepare for Market Entry: Learn strategies for successfully launching products and engaging customers. Gain insights into market entry, customer development, and product launch specifics.

- Recognition and Rewards (or Academic Credits): Every successful participant receives a certificate or academic credits that recognize their enhanced skills and knowledge.

- Trainings on Various Aspects of the Business Process: topics related to different stages of the business process, such as product design, development, marketing, and scaling.

- Networking and Mentorship: Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts in their field and build valuable connections that can assist them in future projects.

- Strong Collaboration Between Challenge Presenters, Teams, and Entrepreneurs: Ensuring mutual benefit for all parties involved.

- Business Model Presentations: Presentations of business models that address the given challenges.

- Clickable Prototypes: Interactive prototypes that can be tested and explored.

Location: The hackathon will take place in person in Tartu or Tallinn. Exact location and venue details will be available upon registration.

Day 1:

Idea Generation and Team Formation: The first day focuses on generating ideas and presenting initial solutions. Teams will receive guidance from mentors, and by the end of the day the first ideas and solutions will be presented.

Day 2:

Solution Prototyping and Final Presentations: The second day is dedicated to developing solutions (creating prototypes) and final presentations. Teams will receive feedback from mentors and judges to refine their prototypes and solutions.
