Double Degree programmes agreement were signed between the Universities of Tartu and Ghent University (Belgium); accordingly, two master programmes will have double degree tracks.

The University of Ghent is one of the largest universities in Belgium, with more than 38,000 students. Ghent University (est. 1817) is one of the major universities in Belgium and belongs to the top 100 in the ranking of world universities. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration as a prestigious International accreditation AACSB and an extremely high level of student and alumni satisfaction.
From 2024-2025, the programmes are already starting, and students have already been recruited for the double degree programmes. It should be noted that the programme has aroused great interest of students.
Double degree programmes have become an important educational product, demanded by students, and showing a high level of education.
The Double Diploma Programme allows students to obtain two diplomas in two years of study - one from the University of Tartu and the other from the University of Ghent. In addition, students can gain international experience, study at different universities, listen to lectures by professors from the University of Ghent and the University of Tartu, gain experience in intercultural communication and work in international teams of students. Moreover, students are offered to develop Master's theses under the joint supervision of professors from the University of Tartu and the University of Ghent.
The Master of Science in Business Engineering is a programme in business administration that focuses on (data-driven) management science, business processes and technology. These three disciplines are taught throughout the two-year master programme in different manners through theoretical lectures, practical case studies and business games, as well as guest speakers and company projects. The master's programme teaches these disciplines both in a theoretical and practice-oriented way. Students can specialise and choose one of three main subjects:
The double degree program in economics is a standard economics program, where students are studying in the 1st year of the master's studies at their home University, studying the core microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics course courses, and the 2nd year in the host university (e.g. Tartu students in Ghent). Tartu students going to Ghent can choose between two majors, financial institutions and markets and economic policy.
