Congratulations to the Business Administration students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration for their success!
Uku Joost Annus and Hans Albert, Business Administration students at the University of Tartu's Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, along with Oskar Pukk, a computer science student at the UT Institute of Computer Science, have taken on the mission of solving retail investors’ challenges. What began as an idea a year ago has now grown into Investonian – a platform that simplifies finding and analysing stocks. Their work has even caught the attention of LHV, one of Estonia’s largest banks, and the solution has been introduced to participants of the popular Börsihai competition in collaboration with LHV.
So, what exactly is it? Investors can easily access summaries of what’s happening with various companies and what the market thinks about them. They can discover companies that suit their goals and risk tolerance from different industries, such as U.S. retail dividend stocks. For each company, users can explore past reports, key ratios, analysts' expectations, and, most importantly, determine the fair value of stocks.
"Focus on practical learning at the University of Tartu has given us the opportunity to use the creation of our company and investment platform as part of our academic journey. We’ve had the chance to gain the best experience – building something real and integrating it into our theses. 🎓 The university, as a whole and various courses in finance and programming have provided us with the tools to succeed in both the academic and professional world. Without the Delta Centre and the University of Tartu, we likely wouldn’t have met or built such a strong and diverse team. The Delta Centre has been our place to learn and work, where we developed Investonian. We are very grateful for this," commented Uku Joost Annus, a student from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
The entire Faculty of Economics wishes the Investonian team great success! 🤘
