University of Tartu Cooperates with Tbilisi State University

The University of Tartu and the Tbilisi State University have a long-standing tradition of cooperation and collaboration in various academic fields. In April, Tartu University researcher in Economic Modelling and PhD student Aleksei Gorgadze continued this tradition by giving a guest lecture at Tbilisi State University on the topic of visitor behavior in the arts and creative industries.

The lecture focused on the social and psychological aspects of visitor behavior in cultural institutions and creative spaces. The speaker discussed the role of emotions and experiences in shaping visitor behavior and emphasized the importance of understanding the needs and expectations of different visitor groups. Aleksei also shared his research on the use of new technologies and text mining methods in visitor experiences and behavior studies.

The presentation was attended by students and faculty members of International School of Economics in Tbilisi (ISET) at Tbilisi State University, who engaged in a lively discussion with Aleksei about the implications of his research for the cultural and creative industries. The event was also an opportunity for Tartu and Tbilisi State University to strengthen their academic ties and explore further avenues for collaboration.

This guest lecture is just one example of the many ways in which Tartu University and Tbilisi State University collaborate to advance knowledge and understanding in various fields. Such collaborations not only benefit the academic community but also contribute to the broader cultural and social exchange between the two countries. We look forward to more fruitful collaborations between our universities in the future.
