The Faculty of Social Sciences gave out awards to outstanding support staff at the opening ceremony for the academic year.

Until 31 October, nominations can be submitted for the “Contribution to Estonian National Identity” award.

All university staff and students are invited to nominate candidates who deserve to be awarded the university’s honorary decoration for their outstanding achievements.

Ahead of this year’s Independence Day, President Alar Karis bestows Estonian state decorations on 157 people, twelve of whom are members of the university family.

Professor in Research and Innovation Policy, Kadri Ukrainski, was honored with Outstanding Public Activity Award.

Professor Priit Vahter, Professor of Applied Economics, and Professor Maaja Vadi, Professor of Management, have been awarded the 2024 Mihhail Bronštein Award by the Estonian Academy of Sciences.

Today, on 21 November, at 16:00, Rector Toomas Asser presented the university’s honorary decorations at the ceremony in the assembly hall.
