Companies and organisations offer students thesis topics that stem from practical problems and sector-specific development needs. When choosing a topic, the student must nevertheless find a supervisor within the faculty and confirm the topic's suitability with the curriculum and thesis requirements.

All deadlines related to the thesis are listed in the academic calendar. You can find the academic calendar and the necessary study documents on the "studying" page. In addition, it is worth familiarising yourself with the documents that support thesis writing, such as the guidelines and template for written works, the lists of thesis topics, the guidelines for processing personal data, and the principles of supervisor–student cooperation.

How to choose a supervisor?
Start by finding a suitable topic. Then look into which lecturer's or researcher's field of study best matches your topic, and contact them by email.
Can several students choose the same topic?
A thesis can also be written together with a fellow student. Writing several separate works on exactly the same topic within one academic year is not permitted.
What happens if I cannot find a supervisor?
If you have trouble finding a supervisor, contact the lecturer responsible for your thesis course.
How early should I contact the supervisor?
We recommend contacting the supervisor as early as possible, so that you have time to discuss the topic and start planning the work.
Can the thesis be written in cooperation with a company?
Yes, some theses are completed in cooperation with companies or organisations. In this case, the topic and the possibility of cooperation should be discussed with the supervisor.
Is the use of artificial intelligence allowed when writing a thesis?
Yes, artificial intelligence tools may be used in coursework and in preparing a thesis, but this must be done transparently and in accordance with the principles of academic integrity. AI-generated content must not be presented as your own original work, and where necessary, its use must be properly described in the work and cited according to the requirements of the field.
